Week 16 1/2 ~ What is a Christian?

What is a Christian? Well, you can find all different definitions for what a Christian is, but what truly is a Christian?

First, if you have to go around telling people that you are a Christian, then you are not living like a Christian! A Christian is someone who loves Jesus with all their heart, soul, spirit and mind! Someone who wants to live their life being as much like Jesus as is humanly possible! Someone who can love people in spite of themselves; pray for them; forgive them and show them the way to an eternal life with Jesus. Oh, they’re not perfect and they know that, but they strive to be obedient to the Word of God and live accordingly! They are not ashamed of who they are in Christ Jesus. They are bold and stand up for God and His ways. And most importantly they walk in humility and love ~ not judging, not condemning but sharing!

A Christian is a servant, who loves to serve and help others without expecting anything in return! They are not seeking ‘recognition’, ‘praise’ or ‘glory’ for what they do. All the Glory belongs to God! They will stay in the background, praying for you, loving you and serving you without you having any knowledge of it. A Christian doesn’t have to tell anyone they are a Christian; it shows in the way they live their lives; the way they treat others; their words and what they stand for ~ in  other words the fruit of their lives! A Christian doesn’t preach at you, they share what they have found through their faith and trust in God and help you to find it too! There is no jealousy or envy, but love and joy in your success to living a prosperous life in The Lord.

This is what a Christian really is! They are full of joy, a peace that passes all understanding, compassion, wisdom/discernment to know the difference between truth and deceit and a love for life and others that is sincere and unfailing! A personal, intimate relationship with The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. There is no worry or fear in a Christian. They know that God and God alone is their source and that He never leaves them or forsakes them! And the greatest thing of all is that they love you and want you to join their family and spend eternity with them in Heaven sitting at the Father’s feet! What a glorious day that will be!

Be blessed today and everyday abundantly by God!

Week 15 ~ Prayers Are Answered!

Yesterday was a very busy day! Spring time in Texas brings beautiful new growth with lush, vibrant colors and new beginnings with new life! It also brings thunder storms and tornadoes!

My daughter called me and asked if I had seen the weather report (she knows I don’t have the TV on during the day)! There were some nasty cells approaching us. I turned on the TV and as we watched we started praying! My husband, her dad, was at Clark Gardens, west of Ft. Worth. To make a long story short…we each were watching a different station report, were praying and speaking to the funnel clouds developing and touching the ground commanding them back into the clouds and to dissipate! We commissioned angels over the people in their homes, cars traveling in the path of the storm, work places and pets not knowing what was happening! We covered our loved ones, family and friends, texted her brother who lives north of us and she was texting friends who were in places where they had no TV to see what was headed their way! We watched as the storm passed us by and continued praying and commanding! It was so awesome to see it retreat into the clouds and hear the weather man say, ‘well it might be reforming’! NOT! All this time I was tracking DH on my cell phone to see him headed back home! I tried to call him several times to get him to delay his trip home because he was heading into the storm, but he couldn’t hear his phone ringing with the rain and the radio! It was a very long day!

The Praise Report is, that though there were houses, property and ‘things’ destroyed, there were no lives lost and no fatal injuries!  There were interviews of people who were in bathtubs and closets praying, and when the storm was over, the only part of their home not devastated was where they had been! One woman was in her closet and afterwards she came out to find every part of her home flattened except her closet and she didn’t even have one scratch on her! One babysitting grandmother had 2 eighteen month old babies and a 3 year old in the bathtub with her and as the tornado tried to pull her grandson out of her arms she held onto his legs and saved all 3 babes and herself! Now tell me God doesn’t answer prayers!!!

Have an abundantly blessed day!

~ Judy ♡ ~

Week 13 ~ I Am Thankful

I am thankful that each day is a new day! Yesterday and it’s challenges and temptations is gone! Tomorrow you can’t do anything about so don’t worry and fret about it! Today is here, so make the most out of it and count each blessing! Don’t look back and don’t look ahead! Today is the day for accomplishments, successes and triumphs!

Remember, yesterday is gone! Tomorrow never comes! There is only Today!

Have an abundantly blessed one too!

Love and Blessings,

~ Judy ♡ ~

Week 8 ~ Never Use ‘Called’ As An Excuse!

People are ‘Called’ by God everyday to go someplace, to do something or to fill a need for someone! Some are ‘Called’ to Pastor a church, some are ‘Called’ to a distant land to serve and minister and some are even ‘Called’ from one church to another! When God ‘calls’ you to move on something, you willingly do it! For instance, if you are a member of one church and God ‘calls’ you to another church and you know that it is God, then you move, but you don’t just pack your bags and go! You do things the way God wants you to! You go to the Pastor and tell him/her that God has called you somewhere else. The Pastor will give his/her blessing and your move will be blessed.

God gets the blame for a lot of things that people just don’t have the decency to stand up and admit! Don’t use God as an excuse! “God told me to do such and such”, “God called us to do this or that” and the list goes on and on! When He actually ‘calls’ us to something, He blesses us in the ‘calling’.  One day we will all stand in front of Him and I don’t be one of those people that He asks, “What about the time you said that I called you to do such and such or the time I called you to change churches?”

I know when God calls me to something and I do it without announcing it to the world! He is my Daddy and it is my desire to serve Him and to be more like Him. Please don’t put the blame on God or use Him as an excuse! He already has His hand full without our adding to it! 🙂

Be a blessing to your Daddy as well as to everyone else! Share His love everywhere you go! 🙂

Love and Blessings,

~ Judy ~

Wk 3 1/2 ~ I Love God’s Word!

At this particular day and hour, my Pastor’s Daily Word is perfect for today! Have you ever noticed that when you are dealing with something in your life, that suddenly God puts the perfect Word right in front of you?

I don’t know what your political affiliation is and I don’t care, but I personally am tired, disgusted and praying against all the immorality, ignorance, sinfulness, ungodliness, Un-Constitutional, demonic (and yes, I said demonic) ways our great Nation, the United States of America, is being pulled down and attempting to be destroyed! This is God’s Nation, built by our forefathers on not just the Word of God, but on the Gospels of Jesus Christ!

I will not sit by and just fold my hands and sigh, “Oh, me!” NO!!! I am standing up for what I KNOW as a Child of God, a Believer and Follower of my Lord and Savior and a Joint Heir with Jesus Christ!

Here is my Pastor’s Daily Word for today! Thank You, Father, for always being there and always showing us the way!

Dealing With Distractions
“Looking away [from all that would distract] to Jesus, Who is the leader and the Source of our faith…Hebrews 12:2a Amplified Bible

Distractions…they are all around us. Colors here, voices there, things to do, people to see, calls to answer, food to cook, clothes to wash…and the list goes on. A distraction is defined as some thing or things that divide our attention with the potential of leading one into confusion. Spiritually speaking, distractions are things that keep us from focusing on the Lord and the things that He requires of us. Jesus tells us in Mark 4:19 that the cares, anxieties and distractions of this age have the ability to choke the Word out of our hearts and cause it to become unfruitful. One of the greatest ways to master distractions has to do with the way that we begin our day. Put the Lord and His Word FIRST before anything or anyone else…at the beginning of the day. Ask the Spirit of God to help your with setting your priorities for the day. As you do this you will find less issues with being distracted.”
Scripture reading: Luke 10:38-42; Psalm 63:1

God bless each and everyone of you!

~Judy♡~

No Regrets!

Are you a “I should have”, “I wish I had” or “I could have” type of person? I had a very dear uncle whose conversations were always, “Well, I should have” or “Well, I could have” or “I sure wish I had”! Instead of seeing what he had done it was always what he should, could or wish he had done! And he actually had accomplished a lot in his life, but he didn’t see it! 😦

With the days, weeks, months and years seeming to be quickly flying by it made me think! (There I go again…thinking! :{ ) We all get so ‘busy’ doing ‘busy’ things, do we ever stop and take notice of the things that are really important? When is the last time you told someone close to you that you love them? When was the last time you called that friend or relative you were thinking of just to say ‘hello’? These are the things that are most important and that we are mostly likely to regret when it is too late! Oh, we say, “Oh, they know I love them or how important they are to me!” How do they know if you don’t take the time to tell them??? I was privileged to be with my mother for months while she was slowly preparing to move to her mansion in Heaven! During that time we got to talk, share and remember together. I got to tell her how much I loved her and was grateful and thankful that she was my mother because it was her raising me the way she did that made me the person I am today! We also got to talk about Heaven, how wonderful, beautiful and awesome it is! She actually asked me if I would go with her and I told her my bags were packed for whenever Jesus summons me! I also told her that our love would live forever and I would ask Jesus to give her a hug for me when I was missing her! You see, I know He does and she has gotten a lot of Jesus hugs! 🙂

Take the time today to tell someone, “I love you” or “I just want to thank you for being in my life”. Share a hug, a smile, a memory, a kind word. Call someone and if they don’t answer, leave an ‘I love you or Thank you for being you’ message!

When my mother drew her last breath here on earth, I cried not because I had any regrets but because I knew that she was with Jesus…young, healthy, happy, running through fields of green chasing butterflies! Instead of being a ‘I should have, could have, wish I had’ person, be a ‘I am so thankful I did’ person! If you are reading this…I love you and I am so thankful to have you in my life and I truly appreciate your stopping by to see what I see Thru My Daddy’s Eyes!

Love and Blessings

The Pumpkin Story!

Every year I enjoy this story explaining the pumpkins carved with a smile! I am definitely not a ‘fan’ of Halloween or witches or such! I hope you enjoy this story!

“A woman was asked by a coworker,
‘What is it like to be a Christian?’

The coworker replied, ‘It is like being a pumpkin.
God picks you from the patch, brings you in,
and washes all the dirt off of you.
Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff.
He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed.
Then He carves you a new smiling face and
puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see.”

Campaign Time ~ Oh, Glory~

It is that wonderful time again ~ Campaign Time! What are you looking for in a candidate? If you are looking for perfect you are not thinking straight! First of all there was only one perfect one and His name is Jesus! 🙂

I am looking for honesty, strength, experience, sense of humor, ability to admit mistakes, love for our country and above all some one who loves Jesus and is not inhibited or ashamed! Now that is what I am looking for! No one is perfect and may the one person who never made a mistake ‘be the first to cast the stone’! I want to hear what the candidate is going to do for our country with the people and for the people! No president can do it by him/her self alone!

I also want someone who is not going to sling mud at others, but stand on their accomplishments, their goals and their ideals! Is this asking too much? Now slinging mud and constantly blaming each other is one thing that puts a big NO beside their name on my ballet! I also am looking for the ‘we’  instead of the consistent ‘I’ in their speech! I want someone who I can trust ( in politics, you ask???), respect~knowing that they, like each of us, will make mistakes, but also believing they will admit those mistakes with humility and most of all they have a love of and for God, Country and Life! These are my requirements!

NO MORE EMPTY PROMISES, LIES, DECEPTION  and TREATING THE AMERICAN CITIZENS LIKE THEY ARE IGNORANT AND INFERIOR!

God bless America and guide each and everyone of us in our voting for the person who will, along with God’s children, bring our Nation back to Him! Hallelujah! All Glory to God!

Love and Blessings, ~Judy♡~

A Heavy Heart

I know that I promised a ‘Continuation of Manny’s Visit’ but at this time there is something more important on my heart! Have you ever known and/or loved a friend who is having such a struggle with life that there, in the natural, doesn’t seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel?  I have such a friend! This friend and their family are one of the sweetest families you could ever want to meet.

I lost contact with this friend for quite a few years and recently re-established our friendship! Now, we all go through things in our lives that are hard and sometimes seemingly impossible, but when you find Jesus and your ‘personal, first name basis’ friendship with Him, you know that there is nothing that is impossible! Well, this friend has had more than their share of trials and tribulations in their life, from finances to severe illnesses with all the family members!  They are not ‘whiners’ or ‘I feel so sorry for myself’ people! On the contrary, they have good attitudes and can laugh at a lot of what goes on in their lives!  The only problem is that they know OF Jesus, but don’t really KNOW Him personally!

Now, anyone who knows me, knows that I am a Believer and that I am not ashamed of it! My God, My Jesus, The Holy Spirit are first and foremost in my life! I walk, talk, breathe, live my love, faith and trust in my Daddy! I am a prayer and when I pray, I pray in the Name of Jesus, believing (knowing) that my prayer is answered and not doubting! This is me! Now, I don’t go around ‘preaching’ to people…you know, “You better get right with God or you’re going to Hell” type of thing! No, I am a SHARER! I love to share the Word of God, how good He is to me and how He is there for all of us ! I also love to share what He has done for me and how He wants to do the same for you! All we have to do is call on Him…ask Him! He is our Daddy, our Father, our Lord, our Everything! He gave us each our own will and won’t go against our will, so we have to surrender our will to His! His will for us is only for good in every situation!

Now, the reason for the heavy heart! I can pray for this wonderful family, I can share with them, but in order for things to straighten out in their situation, they have to believe, they have to know God personally and they have to take authority over their situation and cast the devil out of their home and their lives!  It’s at times like this that I know what a heaviness God has in His heart when His children won’t obey and receive what He has for them.  It is really so simple and easy to do! He is always there! He never leaves us nor forsakes us! He meets our every need, all we have to do is call on Him, know Him and trust Him!

I will continue praying, sharing and believing for this sweet family! I believe that their eyes of understanding are going to be opened and their hearts and minds are going to receive all of God’s goodness and His truth!  Thank you for listening! God bless each and everyone of you and don’t forget to notice and be thankful for each and every blessing that comes your way every day!

Love and Blessings,

Judy♡
